The end is just the beginning

May 9, 2016

A Message from Founder, Tyler Vreeling

Over the past nine years I've had the good pleasure and great fortune of starting and running Fat Crow Design. In the process I've had opportunity to work with highly creative people on many fun and rewarding projects. For some time I have felt a call to adjust my sights, and as a result have found myself flying in a new direction. After a thorough search far and wide - even across the country - I finally landed in a creative studio right here in Edmonton, and have been settling in over the past several months. More details on that shortly.

So now, it is with great optimism (and even a little sadness) that I announce the official closure of Fat Crow Design. To our loyal clients, collaborators, supporters and fans, I personally extend a heartfelt and resounding -- THANK YOU!

Without you, our collective success would not have been possible.

The good news? Most things will remain relatively the same. After more than a year of servicing clients in a senior capacity at Fat Crow Design, Kendel continues to be available to provide beautiful, cost effective and creative solutions through her own freelance design practice. Meanwhile, I'll be over at KENNEDY, supporting and contributing to a team of visual communication and industrial designers, complimenting and rounding out the services offered by their well-known architectural and interiors team.

We'd love to know what you've been up to, and hope you will take this opportunity to catch up, and fill us in on your latest endeavors and triumphs.

With Kindest Regards,

Tyler Vreeling

Website and Photos

December 19, 2015

Early in the year, we were asked to create a simple, high-impact website with an authentic river valley feel, for Mosaico Law - not your average law firm. If you've never seen a lawyer wading through a river at 4:30am for photos, perhaps you need to get to know Alex Mosaico. His love of the outdoors is as distinct as his love for Law. So take a few minutes to peruse the new site!

In Memoriam - Chris Kubash

November 6, 2015

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Chris Kubash this fall. Chris collaborated with us on the Hoodoos for ATB Financial. It was obvious to us through the short time we worked together that Chris was not only a talented woodworker, he was a great man. We hope that you will consider donating to the Canadian Mental Health Association, in honour of Chris, his family, and support mental health for all.

Table Time

September 4, 2015

These tables we designed have been living in their new home for quite some time now.  Over the summer we finally had time to photograph the ATB tables in-situ. If you ever get the chance, check them out on the 21st Floor of 10020 100th Street in Edmonton - ATB Financial's corporate headquarters. Among other works, there's a beautiful mosaic in the reception area near the Prairie Table by the talented Erin Pankratz-Smith, and a boardroom light fixture by Tomnuk Design.
